Update

After long and hard thought...we are now TTC #2 (shocker)

Cameron is growing...he is a mama's boy. My heart....my love. He keeps me busy. LOL

My Re has asked me if I was sure that I was ready...but in all honesty....will one ever be ready???? LOL

I learn something new every day. Cameron challenges me every day...LOL but we know that we would like to expand our family.

I have been on BCPs for almost 2 months now. I am scheduled to take my last pill on the 30th. I had my mock transfer Wednesday...and all went great. My baseline is scheduled for August 3. My transfer is scheduled for the week of August 22.

I have instructed the lab to thaw the first straw (two embryos) and if one embryo dies to thaw the second straw which has two embryos. The question is if all three survives, what do I want to do? Transfer all 3 and risk having multiplies or transfer 2 and let the other die or try to re-freeze (which they are not recommending), or just thaw the first straw and transfer one if one dies.

I am up in the air. We wouldn't mind twins...but triplets scare us.

So I have put in a call with the embryologist. I need to know the grades of my embryos...and from then we will make a decision. I do know these are lower grades...so I am hoping they say the chance of all three to implant is really slim. But we shall see. I will blog about the process....

I'm excited...but scared....

Any thoughts???

WoohooO!!! number two!! really exciting times!!
First of all I'd say to think positively and allow the possibility of the first batch of two to thaw nicely. Then I think I personally would transfer just the one. If it doesn't take then you have the other two. I had this same conversation with my husband (will go for a cycle in Sept but we'll freeze everything for next year), if an embryo is due to stick, it will, whether it's transferred alone or with a second one. So the chances of your remaining 4 embryos to become babies is the same if you do one transfer or two. A singleton pregnancy is easier on the body and overall safer, specially when you have a demanding toddler too! Anyway, this is my tuppence!

I for sure think that's a decision you guys will have to make as a couple. Multiples can be rough, pregnancy and well, life in general. ;) My pregnancy was perfect, but there are risks involved of course with multiples. I say go with your heart lady. :)

Thanks so much ladies. So much to decide...in so little time. I may push for the next transfer slot which is around Sept 12. Fran, you made a really good point and that is the direction I have been going in since this weekend. Cameron is helping me make that decision...he has been a hand full lately...LOL
